*Mass produced stuff is no good. This applies especially to food. Two things in dining halls: black American coffee and yellow Cheddar cheese slices are consistently, bad.
*My dorm window faces east which has several implications: I’ll be attacked by the morning sun rays every morning. So I always wake up in enlightenment. But as winter approaches, the moment of my enlightenment comes a little later each day.
*Favorite structures in downtown Chicago: bridges and train tracks. They look iron reddish brown. They sound iron hard. They smell and taste, though, probably like dining hall black coffee. They cast decisive shadows composed of triangles. They remind me of the Soviet Union and fire. I would name their style as Industrial Gothic.
*One common thing between good writers and good mathematicians: knife sharp observation.
